Official Announcement by Sony, It has moved the release date of Tom Hardy’s Venom 2 pushed back to June 2021. Sony also reveals the official Venom 2 title.

Production on the sequel to Tom Hardy’s Venom officially commenced in November 2019 and was able to conclude before the industry-wide filming shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic. While a release date for Venom 2 had yet to be officially announced, before it was widely assuming that the sequel would hit the theaters on date October 2, 2020, a slot Sony has previously reserved for an Untitled Marvel film.

However, Sony has now announced that the release date for Tom Hardy’s Venom 2 has been pushed back to June 25, 2021. Furthermore, Sony also revealed the official title of the Venom sequel. Of course, few fans need to be reminded that the title refers to fan-favorite villain Carnage, who will be the primary antagonist to Tom Hardy’s Venom in the upcoming sequel following his brief appearance in the post-credits scene of the first film.

There is no surprise now that Venom 2 has been officially confirmed as the latest movie going to be delay by release date again. But at least the official teaser came with a confirmation of its official title — Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the third installment of the Marvel Studios’ Characters following the first film and Jared Leto’s Morbius.
